The Data & Storage tab gives you control over locally stored data, organized into three sub-tabs.

Web history

Available in the desktop app only.
  • Save website assets — Toggle whether visited website assets are saved locally.
  • Index statistics — View the number of indexed pages and total database size.
  • Rebuild index — Rebuild the web history index, with progress tracking.
  • Clear history — Delete all stored web history data.

File indexing

Available in the desktop app only.
  • Enable file indexing — Toggle local file indexing on or off.
  • Indexed folders — Add or remove folders that webAI indexes, with per-folder completion status.
  • File type filters — Control which file types are included in the index.
  • Progress tracking — Monitor indexing progress for each folder, including any skipped paths.

Apps

  • Default launch app — Choose which app opens when you start webAI.
  • Built-in apps — View the list of built-in apps and their storage usage.
  • Custom apps — Manage custom apps you’ve installed, including per-app storage breakdown (code size, stored data, total) and the ability to delete them.
