Library lists your knowledge bases and your artifacts together. A knowledge base is a set of documents a Persona can read when it answers. An artifact is a document a chat produced. Click Library in the left sidebar.

Find a document a chat made

Click Artifacts to see every document your chats produced, newest first.

Open a knowledge base

Click a knowledge base to see its documents and add more.

See what one Persona reads

Pick a Persona in the filter to list only the knowledge bases it reads.

Find something in Library

1

Open Library

Click Library in the left sidebar. The list opens on Everything.
2

Pick what to show

Click a tab to narrow the list.
Knowledge bases and artifacts, each under its own heading.
3

Narrow it to one Persona

Click the filter icon and choose a Persona. Library then lists only the knowledge bases that Persona reads. Choose Every persona to see everything again.
Artifacts appear only under Every persona. To see the documents one Persona’s chats made, open that Persona and click Artifacts.
4

Open what you found

Click a knowledge base to open its page. Click an artifact to open it on Artifacts, where you can preview, copy, download, or share it.
When nothing matches the tab and Persona you picked, Library says “Nothing here yet.” Files you attach to a single chat for indexing are not listed in Library.

Work with a knowledge base

1

Open the knowledge base

In Library, click Knowledge bases, then click the knowledge base. Its page opens on Overview.
2

See its documents

Click Documents. Indexed documents are listed. Documents that are still indexing show their progress above the list.
3

Add documents

Click Add files and choose one or more files. They wait on Documents so you can check them. Click Start Ingestion to add them, or Cancel to drop them.
4

Use them

Each document joins the list once indexing finishes. A Persona that reads this knowledge base can then use those documents when it answers.
To make a new knowledge base, open any knowledge base and click Knowledge bases in the bar at the top. Click New knowledge base, enter a Name, and click Create. Choose files right away, or click Later, in Knowledge bases to add them afterward.
The Embedding model you pick when you create a knowledge base decides which Personas can use it. After its documents are ingested, a Persona set up for a different model cannot read it.
A Persona’s Knowledge base tab is the quickest way to give that Persona documents. Open the Persona, click Knowledge base, then click Add document. The first time, webAI makes a knowledge base named after the Persona and attaches it. Choose files, then click Add documents. That knowledge base then appears in Library, and choosing the Persona in the filter shows it.
