# Set up an assistant

> Hand a repeating job to a named Persona, then send that work.

You repeat the same kind of request, so you give that job a named assistant. Pick a built-in Persona from Home if one already fits, or create one, then send the job.

**1. Open Home**

Click **Home** in the left sidebar. Chat is on the right.

**2. Pick who answers, or create one**

Click the Persona icon and pick **Writer** or **Researcher** if that job already matches. Or type `@` and choose one from the list. Typing `@` without picking from the list does not select anyone.

If none fits, click **Personas** in the left sidebar, then **New persona**. Give it a **Name**. Fill **What is it for?** so **Auto** can send matching work here. On the next frames, pick the work it starts with. Skip the tools for now. Add files if you have them. Click **Continue** through the frames, then **Create**. Click the new card to start a chat.

**3. Send the job**

Type the work you will repeat. Type `/` if you want a skill on that message, including a Draw skill. Click the send icon.

**4. Use the reply**

**Copy** copies the finished reply. Next to **Regenerate**, open **Answer as** to ask another Persona the same prompt. You are done when that Persona answers in a thread of its own.
