# Hugging Face

> Search models, datasets, and Spaces. Inspect repos and read small text files.

Sign in with your Hugging Face account to search models, datasets, and Spaces, inspect repos, and read small text files. Read-only: this connector does not create or change repositories.

You ask in Chat. The model picks the tool. Tool names show in **Recent tool actions**. You do not type them.

## MCP calls

**huggingface\_whoami** `read`

Identifies the connected Hugging Face account, organizations, and token role.

**huggingface\_search\_repos** `read`

Searches the Hub for models, datasets, or Spaces by keyword, author, or task.

**huggingface\_get\_repo** `read`

Gets details for one model, dataset, or Space: license, task, gated status, downloads, files.

**huggingface\_list\_repo\_files** `read`

Lists files and folders in a repository at a revision, with sizes.

**huggingface\_read\_file** `read`

Reads a small text file (README, config, model card). Large or binary files are not downloaded.
