# Ashby

Search candidates, jobs, interviews, and pipelines in your Ashby recruiting workspace. Your Ashby account needs Elevated Access or Org Admin. Adding notes, creating candidates, and moving applications needs **Write action** on for Ashby in [Settings → Connectors](https://developers.webai.com/settings/connectors.md). Turn it off to keep this connector read-only.

You ask in Chat. The model picks the tool. Writes wait for your approval unless you set Ashby to **Always allow**. Tool names show in **Recent tool actions**. You do not type them.

## MCP calls

**ashby\_list\_tools** `read`

Lists the Ashby tools available to this user and their input schemas.

**ashby\_read** `read`

Reads recruiting data: search, filter, candidate details, pipelines, interviews, tasks, feedback, and product docs.

**ashby\_write** `write`

Adds a note, changes an application stage, considers a candidate for a job, or creates a candidate.
